Description

This one-day symposium celebrates the discovery of the J/psi resonance, which launched the modern era of particle physics.

The symposium will review the lead-up to the discovery, the observations from BNL, SLAC, and Frascati, and the continuing influence of this discovery, with reminiscences from many of the participants.

Speakers will include:   Michael Riordan, Thomas Appelquist, Robert Hollebeek, Sau Lan Wu, Martin Breidenbach, Marcello Piccolo, Charles Morehouse, Gary Feldman, JoAnne Hewett, Fred Gilman
