Tours have been organized for two days:
Thursday 10-August 13:30 - 14:30
Tuesday 15-August 13:30 - 14:30
On each day, you have a choice of Klystron Gallery or KIPAC Visualization Lab. Note that they are at the same time and you will not be able to participate in both on the same day.
Klystron Gallery
There is a capacity limit of 25 people on each day, first come first served. Please sign up here for first day or second day, and you can see the current sign-up list here for the first day and second day.
Please be aware that the tour involves an approximately 1-km walk, with some stairs, from Kavli Auditorium to the Visitor Alcove and the same distance back. We will meet at 13:15 in front of Kavli Auditorium, and then go and return together so we can use a group badge for access. Please wear closed-toe shoes for safety. You must be at least 18 years old to go on this tour.
Both tours are full! In fact, the first one on Thursday 10-August is overbooked....
KIPAC Visualization Lab
The Visualization Lab tours - involving the demonstration of cosmological simulations - will illustrate simulations of formation of structure in the Universe, and also the effect of formation and explosions of the first stars.
There will be two sessions each day 13:30 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 14:30, with a limit of 20 people per session. Please sign up using the links below. Participants should meet in front of Kavlu Auditorium at the appointed time.
