The SLAC Summer Institute (SSI) is an annual two-week-long Summer School tradition since 1973. The theme of the 53rd SLAC Summer Institute is “Pathways to New Physics”. Although the Standard Model is very successful at explaining much of what we see, the solutions to many remaining puzzles clearly call for the existence of new physics. As the exact resolution to these mysteries are presently unknown, it behooves us to simultaneously explore multiple trails, guided by the advance in our understanding of e.g. the nature of Dark Matter, the properties of the Higgs boson and neutrinos, as well as the many issues related to flavor.

SSI 20205 has transitioned to ZOOM only and everyone is welcome to register free of charge.

The lectures at the 53rd SLAC Summer Institute in 2025 will discuss the possible pathways to the discovery of new physics. The Institute lectures are primarily aimed at senior graduate students and postdocs.  Due to the budgtory and visa related difficulties for attending the normal on-site program, the program has transitioned to ZOOM only as of Jun/13, to be a morning lectures only program with integrated Q&A. ZOOM connection info will be announced to registered participants shortly before SSI starts. Due to the time zone disparity for ZOOM-only mode other programs originally planned for the afternoonsl afternoons (projects, poster session, tours and social events etc.) are cancelled.
