US-Japan DORAEMON Collaboration Meeting
The first DORAEMON collaboration meeting will take place at Kyushu University in Japan. The primary goal of the meeting is to prepare for the first release of AI-ready datasets and associate data challenges. Necessary tasks and intermediate milestones will be discussed, and responsibilities will be set for the US and Japanese teams.
Open Data Challenge (OpenDC): The current status of data generation and a preliminary set of tasks and metrics for the first data challenges will be presented along with the status and plan of baseline AI solutions R&D for multiple detector technology domains including LArTPC, Water Cherenkov, Liquid Scintillator, Neutrino Telescope, and emulsion imaging.
Knowledge Hub (KHub): The project website is a key element to ensure the accessibility and findability of the datasets, data challenges, and our AI knowledge repository including hands-on projects and lecture materials derived from the data challenges and AI insights collected through an annual review of submitted AI solutions to data challenges. At the meeting, the status of the website, associated tools, and materials of the knowledge repository.
Community Engagement (CE): The strategy and planning for hosting the first DORAEMON AI school and development of curriculum will be an important part of the discussion at this meeting, and also toward the second meeting where we will finalize the AI school program for the first release.
The Venue
This meeting takes place at two of Kyushu University campuses over the whole week of Sep. 28th.
- Nishijin campus (the primary venue) ... Sep. 28th, 30th, and Oct. 1st
- Ito campus (the secondary venue) ... Sep. 29th and Oct 2nd
Commuting to the Ito campus may take extra 30 minutes. The agenda accommodates this: the meeting starts at 9AM and 9:30AM for days at the Nishijin and Ito campus respectively.
Registration
Please use the indico to register for the event. We collect 30,000 JPY at the venue as the registration fee to cover the financial cost for hosting. A receipt will be provided.
