Description

2nd ML Initiatives School at SLAC will cover:

  • software and infrastructure eco-system for machine learning (2 days),
  • fundamental concepts of machine learning (1 day),
  • decision trees and ensemble methods (2 days),
  • neural networks (3 days),
  • differentiable programming and inference (2 days).

The school is held over two weeks, spending 2 hours per day to cover both lectures and hands-on practices.

The school primarily assumes participants' access to SLAC computing cluster, however it is possible to follow using other computing resources including a public ones such as Google Colaboratory.

For obtaining SLAC computing account, contact a SLAC collaborator within your research project (i.e. the school won't be able to host an individual to obtain an account only for the school).
