Description

High resolution calorimetry will serve to maximize the potential for precision measurements at future Higgs factories.  This talk will focus on the techniques of dual-readout (DR) calorimetry to achieve optimal energy resolution in hadronic measurements, including some historical studies of DR calorimeter performance. I'll also give an overview of recent R&D and plans by the CalVision/MaxiCC research teams towards realizing a future calorimeter with state-of-the-art EM and hadronic  performance.
