DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Julie Pagès (UC\, San Diego)\n\nPhysical observable
s are invariant under field redefinition\, but the effective field theory
(EFT) Lagrangian is not. Focusing on the derivation of the renormalization
group equations\, we will see in the first part of this talk\, how the ge
ometric interpretation of EFTs makes this invariance manifest at every ste
p of the calculation. We will present a unified geometric framework includ
ing scalars\, gauge bosons\, and fermions. In the second part\, we will ex
plain the origin of infinities arising in the two-loop field anomalous dim
ension due to the use of field redefinitions in the renormalization proced
