Kickoff meeting for Physics, Detectors, MDI, Beam-Beam, and BDS

America/Los_Angeles
Description

The 10 TeV Wakefield Collider Design Study has a unique challenge; we do not yet know if the colliding particles will be electrons and positrons, gammas and gammas, or electrons and electrons.

The purpose of this meeting is to formulate a strategy for comparing different types of collisions considering both the overall physics reach and accelerator capabilities. Ultimately the Design Study will select one of the collision options for further study and optimization.
