DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Giuliana Gatali (University of Bari\, Italy)\n\nIn H
adron Therapy\, the biological damage due to beam-induced tissue fragmenta
tion is still an open issue. To investigate it\, we realized two experimen
ts. The FOOT experiment\, using an inverse kinematics approach\, is perfor
ming the first measurements of nuclear fragmentation cross sections\, nece
ssary to provide key data for improving RBE models. The DAMON project expl
ores the first-ever direct measurement of target fragmentation induced by
proton beams. Results from both experiments will be shown.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
