DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Doug Storey (SLAC)\, Feng Zhou (SLAC)\n\nParticle ac
celerators underpin discovery across HEP\, BES\, NP\, ARDAP\, and beyond.
Their future hinges on reliably delivering beams with higher intensity\, h
igher phase-space density\, and exceptional stability. Meeting these goals
  requires coordinated progress in source/injector physics\, collective-eff
ect mitigation\, advanced diagnostics\, and predictive control.\nThis work
shop will explore the grand challenges outlined in the 2022 General Accele
rator R&D Program’s Accelerator and Beam Physics Roadmap. How do we incr
ease beam intensities for high charge injectors employing top-up or swap o
ut injection techniques? Can we generate and accelerate ultra-low emittanc
e beams to increase phase-space density orders of magnitude for light-sour
ce and other applications? And how will new diagnostic and controls tools
be developed\, validated\, and integrated into routine operations to reach
these goals?\nAs an outcome of this workshop\, we will produce a white pa
per that defines the needs of injectors for future colliders and high‑br
 ightness light‑source programs\, sets quantitative performance targets\,
and outlines an experimental path forward\, including required test-facil
ities and paths for AI/ML‑enabled diagnostics and controls.\nTo help foc
us the workshop discussions and to enable contributions from colleagues wh
o may not be able to attend\, we invite submissions of up to one page in
length. More details may be found here.\n\nhttps://indico.slac.stanford.ed
