Description

In this talk I will report on some recent progress in our understanding of "detector operators" and their correlation functions ("event shapes") both in QCD and in gravity. We will see that the detector language unifies the description of experiments performed across multiple particle collider platforms and are the natural observables in classical and quantum gravity. This talk is based on past and ongoing work with Ian Moult, Murat Kologlu, and Kai Yan.
