DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Anjie Gao\n\nJets initiated by the hadronic decays o
 f heavy particles\, such as the Higgs\, Z and W bosons\, can encode rich i
nformation about the Standard Model and possible new physics. However\, th
is information is hidden inside complicated patterns of QCD radiation and
hadronization. In this talk\, I will discuss how energy correlators provid
e a simple and analytically controlled way to study jet substructure in bo
osted massive-particle decays. The central idea is to compute energy corre
lators in the rest frame of a decaying heavy particle and then map them to
the boosted frame. As a concrete example\, I will present the two-point e
nergy correlator for hadronic Higgs decays\, where the boosted two-body de
cay appears as a characteristic angular peak and smaller-angle structures
probe QCD effects such as the dead cone and confinement. I will then discu
ss extensions of this framework to hadronic Z/W decays and to higher-point
  energy correlators.\n\nhttps://indico.slac.stanford.edu/event/10494/
