DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Arantza Oyanguren\n\nThe new fully software-based tr
igger of the LHCb experiment at CERNoperates at a 30 MHz data rate\, openi
ng a search window into previouslyunexplored regions of the physics phase
space. The BuSca (BufferScanner) project at LHCb acquires and analyses dat
a in real time\, priorto any trigger decision\, extending sensitivity to n
ew lifetimes and massranges thanks to the recently deployed Downstream alg
orithm\,specifically designed to reconstruct displaced tracks that origina
tedownstream of the vertex detector. BuSca identifies hotspots in the data
indicative of potential new long-lived particle candidates in amodel-indep
endent manner\, providing strategic guidance for developingnew trigger lin
es. To control background\, regions with minimal detectormaterial interact
ions are selected\, and pairs of same-sign tracks areused to suppress comb
inatorial background. In this talk\, I will presentthe current status and
future prospects of this pioneering framework\,along with the results from
the analysis of the first data.\n \nhttps://stanford.zoom.us/j/989731562
