Description

In this talk I will discuss the physics enabled by a future muon collider facility.  I will begin with the focus that the P5 report gave to 10 TeV pcm scale colliders.  However, the generic physics case of a 10 TeV muon collider is only part of the story.  A muon collider offers opportunities for new types of observables that break the standard discovery versus precision dichotomy of colliders, as well as a host of other possibilities.  I will discuss some of the unique features of a muon collider and how this enables a very broad physics program, ranging from flavor and neutrino physics to probing scales significantly above the energy of the collider.
